Role
Location Scout
A Location Scout searches for and documents real places that can satisfy a production’s creative and practical requirements. They research leads, visit properties, take organized photographs and measurements, note access and restrictions, contact representatives, and present viable options to the Location Manager and creative team.
Scouting is visual research plus feasibility analysis. The best-looking option may fail because of noise, sun, parking, ownership, schedule, neighbors, power, safety, or restoration limits.
Scouts must represent the production honestly and protect confidential story and schedule information.
